Banned Books Week

Books are often challenged or banned due to content deemed inappropriate for children and young adults. Sponsored by the American Library Association, Banned Books Week attempts to highlight frequently challenged or banned books. It also serves to support literature that expresses a variety of opinions, even those deemed unpopular. Learn more about this issue at ALA's challenged or banned books page.
