Liberty and dignity, cornerstones of our nation’s spirit, have long been expressed in great books. This fall, K-State Libraries hosts “Wisdom of the Ages,” an exhibit of rare books and manuscripts that have shaped the course of history.
The interdisciplinary exhibit includes The Emancipation Proclamation, the Magna Carta, and 38 other great works, including those from:
These works represent just a small sample of items held by the Remnant Trust, a public educational foundation. They share their growing collection on the topics of individual liberty and human dignity through traveling exhibits. Visitors are encouraged to touch and read the originals.
The display will be on view on Hale Library’s second floor during regular building hours beginning August 24, 2016, and will remain up throughout the semester.
Additional programming and special Saturday hours will be announced in the near future. Contact Darchelle Martin, public relations officer, with questions, at email@example.com or 785-532-7442.
This exhibit is made possible through K-State’s Office of the President.
