Bill Martin Jr. Picture Book Award

Established in 1996 by the Kansas Reading Association, but now a state-wide award presented by Emporia State University, this award recognizes outstanding authors and illustrators as well as honors the memory of Kansas native, Bill Martin Jr., author of such classics as Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.
