Our Veterinary Medical Library strives to provide the most up-to-date information for our CVM patrons. As such, faculty are encouraged to submit acquisition requests for resources that would be vital for their courses, instructional methods, or research.
Acquisition requests by faculty are considered in the order received and through the usefulness of the materials as well as funding available for purchasing.
To submit an acquisitions request:
Once a request is made, our librarians check availability (print versus e-book licenses), purchase funds available, and necessity of each item. If the item is deemed appropriate, necessary, and available, we will move forward with purchasing. You will be contacted during the entire process to ensure candidness.
If there are books, print resources, e-books, etc., that are needed that are not related to a course, a purchase request may be made through our library. These are considered in the order received as well as the cost of procuring the item. We are always looking to expand our collections and include information, texts, and resources that we may not have previously considered. Please email Heather Etelamaki, for any purchasing requests.
