Steps in the Advocacy Cycle

  1. Identify and analyze the issue

  2. Set the goal and objectives
  3. Identify the stakeholders and decision makers
  4. Define the message and the "ask"
  5. Set your timeline
  6. Assess the resources, choose tactics and implement
  7. Monitor, evaluate, and share
