Welcome to the Libraries' Chemical Engineering Subject Guide!  This guide is meant to help you learn how to use the plethora of K-State Libraries' resources.  If this guide does not have the information and/or guidance you are looking for, do not hesitate to  Ask A Librarian  for help at any time during the Libraries' hours.

Other Guides

Librarians at other university libraries have curated many more resources for chemical engineering students and researchers. If you are looking for costs of building, chemicals, and processing materials or safety information, check out these guides.

Using Other Guides

Links to materials in other libraries' collections will be proxied for their universities. Use the following to see if K-State has the same materials or follow the directions below to rewrite the proxied link for K-State access:

Rewriting a Proxied Link

Proxied links include a string in the URL that redirects users to a login page. If you encounter a signin page for another university, you've probably clicked a proxied link. Follow these steps to replace their proxy with ours:

  1. Go back to the page you came from and copy the link you clicked on (not the link that shows up in your address bar after you click).
  2. Paste this link and remove the proxy (ex. delete the string "proxy.library.tamu.edu/login?url=" from a link from the Texas A&M guide).
  3. Click the proxy bookmarklet (installation instructions below) to add the K-State proxy or copy/paste the K-State proxy er.lib.ksu.edu/login?url= at the beginning of the link.

If we do not have access to a proxied link and the resource you're looking for is a book or journal article, make a request through Interlibrary Loan.
