K-State subscribes to a couple databases that provide company profiles that include a SWOT analysis. To find a SWOT Analysis in MarketLine, search company profiles. Your company may be a subsidiary of a larger parent company. There is often more publicly available information for parent companies, so a SWOT analysis may only be available for the parent company.
A store's website can be an excellent source of information. However, it can be difficult to find additional information about small, local businesses. ReferenceUSA is a subscription database, paid for by K-State, that is useful for researching private and public companies of all sizes.
1. Under Record Type, check the Include Unverified Businesses box. (Recommended because it expands search results.)
2. Choose Keywords/SIC/NAICS under Business Type to search for specific types of companies.
3. Choose Geography to limit to companies in a specific geographic area.
4. Choose Update Count to see number of results, or View Results to see the company list.
