For Off-Campus Students

Almost all of our electronic resources are available to you from off campus by using your eID and password to log on.

We can email you scans of articles from journals that we own or borrow from other libraries. If you live more than 40 miles from campus we will mail you books from our collection or books borrowed from other libraries.

Request all these services through Interlibrary Loan.

Finding Resources - Books

Use the Search It box on the Libraries' home page to find books and other materials owned by K-State Libraries (see tutorial below).

Databases for finding books:

Google Book Search
Google Books lists millions of books, and will often give you a preview of the contents of the book. This is an excellent resource for reading books in the public domain (generally those published before 1922), for reading selections of copyrighted books, and for identifying books about a particular subject. Books that K-State doesn’t own can be requested by submitting an Interlibrary Loan request.
