Our E-book guide is intended to show you how to search for and access e-book resources.
Discover the following:
Search for books in our K-State Libraries collections and other libraries' catalogs simultaneously. The WorldCat database can help you to discover where your topic is mentioned within a book because many records include the table of contents.
The default search option in WorldCat is the Basic Search. We recommend the Advanced Search option because it offers more control and the ability to fine tune the list of results.
The Advanced Search provides a variety of options to focus your search including the Boolean operator "AND" to combine keywords, as well as limit search results by type of material.
The list of search results wil yield basic descriptions of titles. Click on the title to view the full description and access the link to request the title using our Interlibrary Loan service.
The link to our Interlibrary Loan system, ILLiad, will appear below the basic title information. Click on "ILLiad KSU resolver" to open Interlibrary Loan and login using your K-State eID and password when prompted to submit your request.
In the WorldCat database, the full view often includes a much more detailed description of the title including additional keywords, the table of contents, and a summary or abstract.
