ABELL (Annual Bibliography of English Language and Literature)

Instructions for using this database to find book reviews:

  1. In the keywords box type the title of the work of interest inside quotation marks (e.g., "waste land")
  2. Enter the date range of interest in the Publication Year area.
  3. Click Search

American Periodicals Series

Instructions for using this database to find book reviews:

  1. Click the "Search for Articles" link
  2. In the first box type the title of the work of interest inside quotation marks (e.g., "a farewell to arms")
  3. In the second box type the last name of your author (e.g., hemingway)
  4. Enter the date range of interest in the two boxes after the word "From:"
  5. Click Search

  1. Click the "Advanced Search" link
  2. In the first box type the title of the work of interest inside quotation marks (e.g., "waste land")
  3. In the second box type the last name of your author (e.g., eliot)
  4. Enter the date range of interest in the "From" and "To" boxes
  5. Click Search

Instructions for using this database to find book reviews:

  1. Click the "Advanced Search" tab
  2. In the first box type the title of the work of interest inside quotation marks (e.g., "waste land")
  3. In the second box type the last name of your author (e.g., eliot)
  4. Change the date range to "earliest to 1960"
  5. Click Search
  6. Change the sort by method to "Oldest First"
