IBISWorld

K-State Libraries subscribes to IBISWorld US Industry Reports and US Specialized Industry Reports. The US Industry reports module covers 700 industries. Reports have statistics and analysis on market characteristics, operating conditions, current and forecast performance, major industry participants and more. The Specialized Industry Reports complement the Industry Reports module and can be useful when researching small or new industries.

European Patent Office
The European Patent Office search allows you to do a world-wide search on patents. One nice feature about this site is the fact that you do not need plug-in software to see old pre-1976 US patents. A user's guide is very helpful to learn to navigate the site.

United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Database
Publication Dates Covered: 1790 - present Free Resource
USPTO's patent database houses full text for patents issued from 1976 to the present and PDF images for all patents from 1790 to the present.
Science.gov
Free Resource
A portal that searches over 60 databases, over 2,200 websites, and over 200 million pages of authoritative federal science information in many formats, including full-text documents, citations, scientific data supporting federally funded research, and multimedia.
National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) PubSpace
Publication Dates Covered: 1961 - present Free Resource
NASA PubSpace is a peer-reviewed repository of NASA-funded authors and co-authors' (both civil servant and non-civil servant) scientific publications and associated data. However, certain materials are excluded, such as patents, publications that contain material governed by personal privacy, export control, proprietary restrictions, or national security law or regulations.
