ENGL 100 - Expository Writing

Welcome to the ENGL 100: Expository Writing Research Guide! This guide is meant to help you learn how to use the plethora of K-State Libraries' resources, and is for both the (Re)Writing Communities and Identities and Understanding Writing sections of ENGL 100.

A few tips

As you begin to think about your assignment, consider how you find and evaluate your supporting materials. This research guide walks you through the basics of the research process, and how to find library resources to support your assignment.

Don't wait until the last minute. Give yourself time to search on your own, ask a librarian for guidance, and go back to your instructor if you need help. 

If you're searching and can't find the data you need, it's possible it doesn't exist. Be flexible. You might need to tweak your topic based on the resources that are available. 

Consulting your textbook for information about your assignment is always a good idea!
