Transitioning from Undergraduate to Graduate Studies

As you progress through your program,  you will find that the expectations in graduate school are much higher and the demand for your time and attention will be much greater.  One of the major differences between undergraduate and graduate education is that while as an undergraduate student you were expected to learn the foundations and principles within your chosen discipline, as a graduate student, you are now expected to contribute to the knowledge of your discipline.  With that in mind, here are some articles that may help you adjust to the new expectations.

Latest Articles from XRDS: Crossroads, The ACM Magazine for Students

Here are some articles from the latest issue of XRDS: Crossroads, The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Magazine for students.  This section of the guide is set to update with new articles as they become available.  XRDS is a fantastic resource for students in computing and engineering sciences with a wide array of articles, discussions, interviews with leading experts, latest news from the field and student papers. XRDS also encourages student interaction through letters to the editor (email xrds@acm.org), Twitter messages with the #xrds tag, and interaction on the XRDS Facebook page
